Pacific Data Capture specializes in Business and
Information Technology Consulting.
In this day of specialists, there is a need for objective
consultation from the position of a broad background. Richard Pitt and his
team of associates and employees brings a diverse and in some cases eclectic
background to the problems of today's business systems and communications
problems.
From short contracts involving
installation, support, training and integration of paper and
automated systems, to the specification, costing, funding, creation and
implementation of major business, information and
technology systems, Pacific Data Capture and our associates have handled them
all.
Beyond business communications of all kinds, our expertise
includes business systems security, integration of policies and procedures
with physical systems (paper, video surveillance, etc.), automated systems
(cash registers, order entry, inventory control, invoicing, A/R, A/P),
internal computer systems (desktop, mainframe, mini) and integrated Internet
systems (web, e-commerce, e-mail, etc.) We consult to all manner of
businesses; from those new to automation and the Internet, to
established firms with pre-existing communications, media,
automation and Internet presence.
Our long history in the computer industry includes work
with virtually every main stream computer technology including large
mainframe systems (IBM, DEC and others), mini computers (DEC, MAI, HP, Data
General), and microcomputers including Unix and Xenix based systems, CPM, MPM,
Apple, IBM, Tandy/Radio Shack, Altos; as well as the more recent Microsoft
Windows, Linux, BSD, Sun Solaris and other systems. We have worked also with
all manner of today's embedded systems, from remote data entry to payment
technologies and vending hardware.
We specialize in the creation of migration plans,
integration of disparate systems, data migration, and business systems
integration of paper, fax, telephone, and computer facilities. This
includes writing business plans, policies and procedures, training plans and
schedules.
